International Women's Day - Monday 8th March
Monday 8th March is International Women's Day. Every year we mark this important day with as many group rides as we can. Of course this year will be a bit different, but we will be celebrating nonetheless.
We are very proud of our over 50/50 female to male member split (it's nearly 60/40 now) but there is so much to be done to get anywhere near equality in cycling.
We believe that cycling is a great way to empower women and girls all over the world, from starting commuting to work or school to getting into road riding or racing.
Making group cycling a welcoming and safe space for everyone, particularly women and people who didn't feel at home in the standard 'cycling club' environment is why we started, and still our main purpose today.
So this IWD we are encouraging you to ride your bike - as long or as short as you wish, wherever you are. Solo or with a friend, members can use the members app to organise a meetup.

IWD Zwift group ride - Monday 8th March @ 18:25 GMT
If you can't make it outside on Monday then join us for a Zwift group ride to celebrate the day. No drop ride, Zwift will keep everyone together regardless of power output.
Follow David Bavin (DWRT) on the Zwift companion app to be added to the ride.
Plan your own IWD ride
If central London laps don't suit you, or you want to head out further on Monday, then suggest a ride/route in the members' app and find a ride buddy for the day.
Include pace/route so everyone knows your general plan and can join you if they want to. Make sure to tag us in your social posts (@dirtywknd) and use the #internationalwomensday to help spread the word.

Join the 350 Challenge for March
This March we are encouraging you to join the 350 challenge - to ride 350 miles or minutes (up to you) in March in support of Women in Sport.
Full details and sign up can be found here.
You just have to join the Strava group, donate £10 to the cause and then try and complete the challenge. If you don't want to ride, then you could do the challenge as running, yoga (350 mins of yoga?) through the month. It's totally up to you.
If you have any questions at all about the above then please let us know. As ever you can email us for a chat about IWD rides or anything else.
