We've been thinking about ways we can bring you, the members, updates and info that will help you on your cycling journey, and hopefully make you feel proud of yourselves and other club members. So welcome to the 1st quarterly 'Membership Update!'
New Membership Codes
Firstly, the most important bit of info to relate is that we're going to be changing the way you use your membership codes to get free rides & discounts. To coincide with the ride price going up (see below) we're going to create just one code for all members. The system will know if you are a member and the code will work. You still have to sign up and apply the code.
The new codes can be found behind the velvety red rope of the Members Area. Click on the link and head on into the VIP area to grab the code. Please note that your old code won't work as of now. Not a member? You should be - Click Here
Ride Price Rise
We've increased the individual ride price simply to encourage more people to become club members (and therefore get all the club rides for free). We also want to reward our members for being members of the club. The more official members we have, the more rides, trips and events we can put on and the more partners we can attract. We want to grow the club nationwide, and that means more members.
This means we have put the individual weekend ride price up to £10, with the midweek ride price staying at £5. Membership to the club will stay at just £9.99 a month - so if you do just one ride a month it makes sense to join the membership.
Not only that, but you'll also get discounts on our trips, kit and 10-50% off our awesome partners. We want everyone to be a member of the club*, and we we're unashamed and honest about that. We've got big plans for this club!! Become a club member.
However, if you don't want to become a member, and like the flexibility of paying as you ride, you can carry on doing that as long as you like.
Member of the Season
Each 'season' we will be highlighting the efforts of one member who has gone above and beyond. These people will have been riding regularly, doing awesome things and generally standing out from the peloton - let's call it the Breakaway Award!
Spring's Breakaway Award, however, was just too tough to call, so we've given it to two members (mainly because they're inseparable). The spring season definitely belongs to Vic and Eddie - two fairly new members who have been lighting up group rides every weekend with massive smiles and bigger efforts. Not only that, but they both went to Mallorca in April AND joined our pal Sophie Radcliffe on her London 2 Paris 24HR sportive. Great work Vic & Ted - keep being awesome! You've won a pair of socks each as Spring's Breakaway Members of the Month.
New Club Partners
The biggest new partner announcement of the last few weeks has been the awesome guys at TRIBE. TRIBE make some of the best energy products on the market and we're really pleased to be partnering up with them. Members can now get 15% off Booster Packs, which include bars, protein and hydration products (or you can customise your own pack). Not only that but TRIBE are an active community that run regular events, and we're really excited to be getting involved with those. Check out all of the TRIBE details here.
New partners on the horizin include a nutrition parter called Fresh Fitness Food, a cycling specific PT and a Bike Weekender, a trip provider based in the French Alps (Ventoux anyone??). We've even got a club barber and hairdresser coming onboard (wonder who that could be??) More details coming out really soon.

There have been some incredible rides and trips going on this Spring, so this is just a quick shout out to all the awesome members who have taken part in trips (Mallorca, Flanders, Yorkshire) as well as London 2 Paris & London Revolution too. You're all hardcore
Not to mention everyone who took part in big events like London - Brighton - London and others. It was a great day, and we can't wait to do more of them. Watch this space. Also it's really important to give a massive shout out to all of our amazing ride leaders, who make it possible to run so many cool events. Thank you guys!
Spring also saw the first female DW racers take to the track and start their illustrious race careers. Huge shout outs to Helena, Judit, Amy and Kasia for lining up in an official British Cycling race. Pretty sure you've now done more races than the boys - great work!
Lastly - a huge, gushy, disgustingly lovely shout out to Oli and Ella, who got MARRIED last weekend! It was a lovely wedding and we wish them all the love and luck in the world. (Also, thanks for having your honeymoon at the Giro d'Italia, and sending us pictures - extra member bonus points.)
What a spring - can't wait for summer! Any questions, suggestions or shout outs please let us know. We want your input as much as possible - it's your club and we will always listen to your ideas and plans. We love hearing them, so keep them coming. Join a ride, join a trip or come to an event - we love seeing your smiling faces!
