Ride Leader Profile - Mira Boyce
Our ride leaders are incredible human beings, guiding, supporting and fixing punctures for members week in week out. Without them we wouldn't be able to run all the awesome rides we do. But, you probably don't know all that much about them. So here's a quick Q&A with ride leader Mira, so you know what to chat to her about on your next ride. If she's not signing that is.... ;)
Vital Stats.

Max Speed: TBC - Will report back after I've done my bucket list ride (see below!)
Current Bike(s): Liv Avail Advanced (Harriet)....she is a babe. She's my therapy, my spa, my happiness and the love of my life. She is always there for me and has never let me down!!!!
Name of your bike(s) Why: Henrietta and Harriet and the new one to be will be Holly. No reason other than I love the names.
Dream Bike: Pinarello Dogma F10.

Notable Rides To Date:
Favourite Ride(s): I don't have a favourite ride. I often find that it is the little ones where the sun comes out shining, the wind is in your face and hair and you feel free that are my favourite rides. I find that each ride you do is a learning experience and I have learned to enjoy each and every one of them...Yes even the ones where I am cursing and screaming inside going up a hill!....The tremendous singing skills I have help ;)
Favourite London Climb: Mott Street because I did it on my first ever DW Ride and it brings back good memories!
Favourite Ever Climb: This is a really hard question. I recently did my first Kent ride and the views from many of the hills were stunning. Saying that, I am biased for Box Hill.
How and When did you get into cycling:
Why Do You Ride: I actually started riding to prove that I could do the Ride 100 without much training (2 weeks training to be exact), after that I decided that I loved it so much that I wanted to carry on.
What's your favourite thing about cycling: The freedom you get from being able to literally goanywhere you want. The sunsets and sunrises you see, the beauty in the journey.
Best piece of cycling advice you’ve been given: Bring layers, water and plenty of food....a piece of advice that everyone knows I adhere to (especially the food, did someone say chicken burger???)

Your cycling bucket list:
If you could ride anywhere in the world tomorrow where would it be: Hawaii for the Haleakala Summit Cycle to the sun and Colombia Alto de Letras (said to be the longest road climb in the world)....That's a lot of singing!!
Cycling plans for the rest of 2018 and 2019: Sept 2018 L'Etape London, June 2019 Dragon Ride...not sure what else yet as I am planning to do Ironman in 2019... sure there will be plenty of rides though!
Thanks Mira. You can join Mira on a group ride and chat to her about her favourite things about cycling! Be warned - you might have to sing ;) Click Here for upcoming rides, and click below to follow Mira on Strava & social: Strava // Instagram // Twitter
