Yorkshire has become synonymous with UK cycling thanks to the 2014 Tour de France and the huge rise of the Tour de Yorkshire. With the World Championships in Yorkshire for 2019, it's very much going to be the place to be this summer! We're joining our pals All Things Ride
, Harrogate residents and local experts, to recce the Worlds course and enjoy some Yorkshire hospitality.
Harrogate will act as the finish town for the Yorkshire World Championships, so being based therefor this trip will give you a flavour of what's to come in September. We will take in a short ride on Friday afternoon as a warm up, and then take on the bulk of the Worlds course on the Saturday.
This includes large parts of the Yorkshire Dales and some of the best climbs and Yorkshire towns on the route, before heading back to Harrogate in the same way that the best in the world will just a few months later.
You can view the full Yorkshire World Championship route by clicking here (Don't worry, we're not doing the full 285km;) If you're interested in joining us for the World Champs in 2019 you can do that too. Just click here for all the info.
After the 'big ride' on Saturday we'll then head out into Harrogate for dinner, a few drinks and a Slingsby gin tasting event. If you'd prefer to do your own thing on Saturday night then just let us know. There will be a ride on Sunday morning before departure for those that want it.
If you sign up to the trip above we will send you more information. You will not be charged when you sign up with us, but your email address will be sent on to the organising party (All things Ride) who will send you more info regarding this trip (and how to pay)
