Take on Leith Hill The Day Before Legs of Steel!
The Legs of Steel sportive is a great day out cycling in the Surrey Hills. This ride is for those who can't make the sportive on the Sunday, but still want to take on Leith Hill (and other Surrey Hills) on a fun London group ride.
This is an 'intermediate' level ride with a proposed average speed of roughly 24kph. Given the elevation involved, this will be a higher than normal pace, and not completely suitable for beginner riders. Please email us (below) if you are unsure if this ride is suitable for your level.
We'll ride out to the hills on quite roads and beautiful lanes, stop for coffee at the top of Leight Hill, and then aim to return to Putney for approx. 1-2pm. Practising hills is the best way to improve your cycling, and doing so in an encouraging group means you'll have motivation and support from our ride leaders too.
This ride is open to members and non members (although it's free for members). We operate a no drop policy, so no one gets left behind. This ride is perfect for any rider who are looking to increase their cycling speed, increase fitness and meet more cyclists in London.
