Build your confidence on fun and friendly laps!
This session is aimed at beginners who are looking to increase their cycling confidence on the road, learn how to ride in a group and meet other cyclists. If you also want to meet the team/club and judge your pace/level before joining another ride, this is a great opportunity.
These lap sessions are the perfect place for beginners to learn how to cycle in London and in a group. Using the safety of our group (strength in numbers) and the bike friendly nature of Regent's Park, this beginners cycling session is perfect for anyone wanting to build their confidence and learn how to ride in a group. For more experienced riders it's a great chance to meet other people, chat away and build some miles!
The session will include a ride briefing ('theory lesson' in the cafe) followed by group laps of the park. We'll then return to the cafe for coffee and more 'theory' (i.e. a good old chat!) Tips, advice and training will be available throughout.
Anyone and everyone is welcome on this ride, and if you don't want to wear lycra cycling kit that's fine by us. Comfortable sports/gym kit is fine, as are trainers. If you have clipless pedals/cleats and want help practising in them please let us know.
All bike types are also welcome (mountain bikes, single speeds, granny shoppers; we'll take the lot!) We can do a quick safety check on your bike before setting off to make sure everything is in order (please ask for this).
