Take On The Richmond Hills On A Group Training Session!
Ride London is a brilliant and challenging sportive taking place on the 29th of July and our Ride London Training Plan is the perfect way to train and prepare. Ride number 2 is the best type of training you can do on a Wednesday evening - hill reps.
This ride is the perfect compliment to your weekend training rides, as the hills are often the hardest part of the Ride London route for many cyclists. Short, intense and specific hill training is the best way to improve your hill climbing, and therefore train for Ride London. Richmond Park is the perfect place to practise as the roads are fairly car free in the evenings.
Training and tips will be available from our ride leaders and they will help you to ride up Box Hill faster and more efficiently, as well as provide other training and nutrition tips. This ride is a hills training ride, but it is still a fun and social ride with a no drop policy that is open to all levels of cyclist, especially beginners.
After a few reps of Broomfield & Star hill (as many as you want to do) we will ride back to The Dynamo for pizza and hill chat. This is optional, but a great way to meet the group and learn about hill climbing technique.
