Yorkshire has become one of the hotbeds of UK cycling, with Harrogate itself featuring very prominently. From hosting stages of the 2014 Tour de France, being a regular feature on the Tour de Yorkshire through to hosting the 2019 UCI World Road Race Championships for a week, Harrogate is a UK cycling hub.
And for good reason. The riding is incredible, with loads of different options leaving town in every directions (see below) and of course the tough but beautiful UCI worlds course in the centre. Now that every Zwift obsessed cyclist in the world has virtually ridden the course, this is a perfect time to take it on in real life!
Our travel partners All things Ride are working with Harrogate institution Cold Bath Clubhouse to provide a home away from home for you during the weekend. The Clubhouse hosted Zwift during the World Road Championships, so they know how to look after a group. The Clubhouse will be your pre ride coffee, your post ride beer and secure bike parking. We’ll start out here and return pot ride for a beer and watch whatever bike racing is on that weekend on the big screen. You will have a lovely B&B in walking distance, but the Clubhouse is so good you may not want to leave!
You have the choice of a 2 or 3 night stay (longer if you wish) in a lovely B&B in the town centre. The price above is based on single sex sharing rooms, but a single supplement is available. Breakfast in included each day.
Harrogate is blessed with a massive range of riding options. Go north and you can explore the Yorkshire Dales and Pateley Bridge. East takes in the flatlands to York and then the North York Moors. West is Otley & Ilkley with stunning climbs and classic Yorkshire cobbles. Go south and you’ll find the rolling hills to Leeds and Wetherby.
Daily group rides will be led by knowledgable local guides, and there will be a range of groups for all abilities. Harrogate is the home of All Things Ride, so you can be sure you’re going to get a real local ride experience, including all the best roads and climbs!
All Things Ride will take care of all of the logistics of the weekend so you just have to get yourself to Harrogate and be ready to ride. You can sign up on the link above (you won't be charged) and we'll put you directly in touch with All Things Ride by email. By signing up you are agreeing to let us pass your email address onto All Things Ride so that they can contact you with more details.
To be clear, the above cost of £235 does not include travel to/from Yorkshire, bike hire, insurance or any food or drinks (except breakfast).
